Main goal: to promote active citizenship of young people, by particularly improving the existing and developing new skills in the field of youth work, using training methodology and combining intercultural activities which enable exchange of experience, expertise and best practice in between those involved in youth and community work.

The project is meant for 20 targeted participants, 4 from each of 5 targeted countries, that will be encouraged to identify similarities and differences in social values, necessary democratic changes, youth position in different societies, youth participation and implementation of youth policies related to targeted topics.

The main activities: Training program “Tools for youth work” which combines interactive forms and supports youth exchange and peer-to-peer learning about important youth issues and development of methods/forms as tools for dealing with those issues; Intercultural learning methods that will enable participants’ active learning about and tolerance building towards different cultures; Follow-up activities in the form of workshops in each country after main activity in Croatia, to transfer gained skills and developed methods to young people – members, volunteers and beneficiaries of partner organizations.

The project duration is from March the 15th till September the 15th 2013 and main activity will last for 9 days and will be implemented in Croatia. The project includes preparatory activities, main activity as described and follow-up activities of participants upon returning back to countries of origin, aiming at transferring learned methods in everyday youth work practice of partner organizations and evaluation.

The promoters/partners: Youth organizations from Poland, Turkey, Moldova, Ukraine and Croatia.

Project is financed by European Commission through Youth in Action Programme (Action 3.1.), which in Croatia implements The Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes, and co-financed by the Government of the Republic of Croatia, Office for Cooperation with NGOs.
