edukacija1One of the main activities of PRONI Centre for social education is implementation of two-year university program for youth workers. University program is being implemented in cooperation with School of education and communication from Jönköping, Sweden. As an organisation that is focused primarily on youth, PRONI Centre for social education is aware that the society changes quickly and becomes more and more complex, so people are asked to be flexible and to have certain social skills. Regarding this growing and changeable needs of the society, PRONI Centre for social education choose the approach according to the situation and the needs of young people. Since 1997 in Eastern Croatia, and since 2002 in Southern Croatia, we are organising a two-year university program as a form of informal education, with education contents based on the needs deriving from everyday life.

edukacija2Since the very beginning, PRONI Centre for social education based its work on informal education which implies circular communication and active participation through interactive methods of work, and testing the theory in practice. We believe that learning is firstly based on process, and teaching social skills. The approach in this work can hardly be formal. Also, we believe that the power of informal education lies in high level of participation of young people in activities on lectures that gives them a feeling of responsibility and usefulness of their actions.
Striving to recognition of Swedish diplomas in Croatia, in 2004 Education team adapted the existing program to Croatian standards, so first “newly adapted” generation of students is enrolled. These are the students that attend a two year university program for youth workers, instead of level A and level B. It is a two full academic year program and it brings 120 ECTS to students. In Osijek – Vukovar area 26 students are enroled, and in Knin area 13.
