The first debate was held in Osijek-Baranja County. On Tuesday, 10th May, High School Isidora Kršnjavog in Našice hosted the first debate of the EU Minds project in Osijek-Baranja county which was attended by thirty school student’s from economic and grammar school departments, together with its director prof. Filjak.

The students showed a remarkable level of awareness on pre-accession negotiations with the European Union, and the debate was divided into three positions which student’s defended with arguments with many questions that were readily answered by debate leaders Damir Lajoš and Mirela Sudariæ from the Agency for the Development of Osijek-Baranja county. Actually, they asked that their debate leaders provide concrete examples of changes that are waitng when Croatia steps into the European Union in the field of employment, such as the introduction of electronic work book and language passport.
Other topics for discussion were education and studying, and living standards, because those were three areas highlighted by students in previously conducted poll, as ones about which they want to know more.
