This project is funded by the European Union, through the Program PHARE 2006 and will be implemented in the Osijek-baranja, Vukovar-srijem and Sisak-moslavina Counties within 12 months, starting from 28th of November 2008.
The Overall objective of the project is to increase the level of active participation and integration of youth in social and political life and to develop civil society of Osijek-Baranja, Vukovar-Srijem and Sisak-Moslavina counties.
Specific objective:
- To support and build capacities of youth by ensuring access to relevant information for the life and work of young people through setting up Info-Centres for Youth on local level and through promoting their participation in non-formal education, cross-sectoral advisory teams on youth issues and transfer of experiences from EU and within Croatia.
By working in partnership with City of Vukovar and City of Sisak, joint project activities will be dedicated to the youngsters, especilly by:
- establishing two Youth information centres in the cities of Vukovar and Sisak, and
- daily informing, counselling and non-formal educataion
Beside mentioned, project activities will enable:
- capacity building of Youth information workers by transfering knowledge from EU to Croatia in a form of trainings, which will be delivered by experts and trainers from European Youth Information and Counselling Agency – ERYICA, as well as through planed study visits
- development of youth information centres by setting up local cross-sectoral advisory teams and volunteers’ teams.
