Youth Employment Support Project (YES) is project that support social employment of young people. Project started in the frame of SLAP’s Program of support to social employment « POMAK ». The activities in the frame of YES project started on the 1st of October 2007 and will last at the end of September 2009. the activities of the project will be implemented in 3 Slavonian counties:
- Vukovar-Srijem
- Požega-Slavonia
- Osijek-Baranja.
The carrier of the project is the Organization for creative development SLAP.
Implementing partners are:

- FUNAP Našice
The project is financially supported by UNIDEA UniCredit Foundation.
The main objectives of the project YES:
- to increase youth employment in the region of East Croatia, by providing the support in the process of job searching and creation of small enterprises, building personal capacities, with the purpose to increase youth participation and integration in society as active workforce
- to promote social entrepreneurship as a model of employment for socially excluded groups and as a base for sustainable local development
- to promote partnership in the process of creation of infrastructural support for youth employment, and building of social cohesion in the frame o social development
Project activities will contribute to development and empowerment of following target groups:
- young unemployed women (40 to 50 of them) with basic knowledge in traditional crafts, which will be enabled for employment and self-employment by technical support;
- unemployed youngsters (30 of them) who will gain knowledge and skills in the field of agro-tourism, community organization and tourist animation;
- small farmers (30 to 40 of them) who will be encouraged throughout trainings and consultations to become self-sustainable in their organic food production;
- local non-governmental organizations (6 of them) which will be empowered to start-up their own enterprises, which will increase their institutional and program sustainability and stability.
The project will offer following program activities, aiming on capacity building of different target groups, and support their employment and self-employment:
- 500 hours of trainings
- 400 hours of consultations
- organization of 4 different fairs
- initiation of 2 web-shops for costumers
- organization of 8 eco-forums
- 10 simulation in 15 local communities, for agro-tourist animators
- support in networking between target groups and potential employers
- creation and distribution of Manual about tourist possibilities in the region
- activities of public promotion
- organization of events for self-presentation of target groups, their programs and results to potential employers
- support in creation of 40 business plans for different enterprises
- 20 to 30 micro-credits for self-employment
