PRONI Center for Social Education\/Youth Info Center Vukovar in first day of the manifestation Youth days Vukovar, which is held from 11th to 13th of June, under the sponsorship of the City of
\nVukovar, have had organized an educational and informative lecture and workshop in preparing a speech and public appearance, called “Poet is born, speaker you become”.<\/p>\n

Participants were introduced to the basics of public speaking, led through relaxation exercises, exercises for raising energy, exercise of speech and pronunciation and had prepared and wrote a speech which was publicly performed among them.<\/p>\n

The aim of this lecture is to inform young people about public speaking, and through a workshop increase their skills and competencies in performing public appearance and speech, so they could apply the newly acquired knowledge in everyday communication, work and during education.<\/p>\n

The number of participants in the workshop was limited to ten. This ensures the quality of work and each participant has enough time for the adoption of lecture. Also during the workshop there is enough time for individual aproach to each student. Yesterday, there was eight participants.<\/p>\n

The workshop was led by a master in political science and public appearances skilled coach Biljana Ga\u0107a, which, along with formal education acquired at the Faculty of Political Science, has First Degree in Rhetoric school in the Department of Phonetics of Croatian Philological Association in Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, and numerous other education in public appearance. She has held several dozens of trainings and workshops of public appearances and preparing and writing a speech and has years of experience in media appearances as a representative or manager of public action or events.<\/p>\n

The workshop itself was very dynamic and the participants actively participated in all of its parts. The most dynamic was the preparation and writing speeches by participants themselves, and the most interesting part was their public appearance and performance of written speeches.<\/p>\n

This activity is financed by the Ministry of Social Policy and Youth and the City of Vukovar.<\/p>\n
