{"id":799,"date":"2015-01-07T17:06:43","date_gmt":"2015-01-07T17:06:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/proni.hr\/?p=799"},"modified":"2015-01-07T17:06:43","modified_gmt":"2015-01-07T17:06:43","slug":"training-for-tourist-guides-communication-of-tourist-guides-with-people-with-disabilities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/proni.hr\/old.proni.hr\/training-for-tourist-guides-communication-of-tourist-guides-with-people-with-disabilities\/?lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Training for tourist guides &#8220;Communication of Tourist Guides with People with Disabilities&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"justify\"><span class=\"sadrzaj\">Tourist Association of City of Osijek, with co-fiancing of Croatian Tourist Association, impelements the project entitled &#8220;OSIJEK &#8211; TOURIST DESTINATION WITHOUT BARRIERS&#8221; which aims to provide new knowledge and skills of tourist guides who work in city of Osijek and eastern Croatian region, for the\u00a0 communication and management of tourist programs for people with disabilities, especially the blind and visually impaired people.<\/p>\n<p>In accordance with the project objectives and planned activities, trainer of PRONI Centre for Social Education, Irena Mikulic, prepared and conducted a training program named &#8220;Communication of Tourist Guides with People with Disabilities.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"sadrzaj\" align=\"justify\">The training was held on February the19th 2013th, in the premises of the Regional Youth Information Centre Osijek.<\/p>\n<p>Working with participants included various topics in the fields of information, communication, rights of people with disabilities, tools in communication with blind and visually impaired people, but also a number of practical exercises and transfer of experiences that have encouraged participants to think more and learn about specific skills and to adopt specific knowledge related to these topics.<\/p>\n<p>Practical part of the training enabled participants, through experiential learning and exchange of their experiences to gain useful answers to many of their practical questions, as well as to discuss with guests from the Sports Association of The Blinds &#8220;Light&#8221; Osijek. Special contribution to the quality of learning of tourist guides in this program was given by the president of this Association, Mr. Stojan Bjelajac.<\/p>\n<p>With the acquisition of useful information, the adoption of new knowledge and experiential learning of participants in this program, the training has enabled the creation of new concept designs for tourist purposes, by which the city of Osijek will allow blind people to equally participate in tourist programs.
